I take pride in understanding all the technical processes which go into creating a great violin and usually make around 6 a year. I work alone from scratch on each instrument, and have a keen interest in the physics of the instruments and the importance this has on the acoustics. I collaborate with Liuteria Tonewood, and have visited them in Croatia to enhance my theoretical and practical knowledge of wood, developing a unique expertise on selecting wood for my instruments. During the set up stage I apply strict attention to detail, making certain that each instrument is always well balanced. I knows the whereabouts of most of his instruments and get to see them from time to time as the musicians who commission them often become friends. I'm also a member of the MICHELANGELO FOUNDATION for creativity and craftsmanship. My workshop is in the city centre of Cremona, just a stone’s throw from the home of Stradivari…
