The BVMA Advanced set up course

Following on from our Essential set-up course, the Advanced course is designed for luthiers with several years of professional experience having previously attended an instrument making college or similar. Applicants should be competent in carrying out basic set-ups and looking to refine their skills and understanding.

Be prepared to learn all you need to know about setting up an instrument perfectly. From in depth detail on the bridge and soundpost to other aspects of the set up like strings and sound adjustments - we will be covering it all.

Kathrin Hügel and Adam Winskill will be giving practical demonstrations and there will be a focus on tool skills and good technique as well as one-on-one guidance at the bench.

There are 10 places available for this amazing course. Cost is £750 - £1,100 with a £100 deposit payable in advance. This includes all teaching, accommodation and food.
