Bow Rehairing and Repair Course: 14 – 19 January 2024 *SOLD OUT

  • Halsway Manor England (map)

SOLD OUT

This course is aimed at those who already have good hand skills and would like to be able to do more work on bows. With many bow rehairers now retiring, there is a serious shortage of people able to work on bows, creating a great opportunity.

We are delighted to announce that Jutta Walcher will be joining us with Tim Baker and she will be happy to demonstrate and teach rehairing as well as other repairs.

I will be demonstrating many of the more common jobs as well as frog and adjuster making.

We will also both be happy to help with any aspect of bow making.

Halsway’s workshop facilities continue to improve and there is now a Myford lathe available which will allow us to do some tool making if desired.

There will be spaces for 10 students and the cost of the course will be £600 for single non-ensuite and £650 for single ensuite. The price includes all food, accommodation and teaching.

A limited number of bursaries will be available. For more information about these, please

contact the BVMA Short Course Committee.
