The British Violin Making Association was formed in 1995 with the following aims:
*to raise the standard of skill and expertise of makers and restorers
*to share information among makers and restorers
*to promote the craft to the general public
*to promote fellowship among all those interested in violins and bows

BVMA Makers' Day - Sunday 13 March 2016

Violin Makers' Day is the BVMA’s annual showcase of over forty makers and associated traders displaying their work - the best of new making in the UK and abroad.
Doors for Makers' Day are open from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm. The event is open to all, admission is free and includes a catalogue giving information about each exhibitor. Practice rooms are available for those who wish to try out instruments in private. At 2.30pm a Quartet will perform a concert on instruments selected from those on display by the BVMA makers. Entry to the concert is free of charge.
