Violin and viola maker
I was taught violin making by Neil Értz, and have been building instruments for advanced students and professional players since 2005. My instruments are based on classical Italian models by makers such as Stradivari and the Amati and Guarneri families, with meticulous attention to detail applied at every stage of the design, construction and set-up processes. Best quality materials are used, carefully selected for optimum acoustic and structural properties as well as visual beauty. All these factors combine to produce instruments that have the sound and playability required for performance at the highest level, along with high aesthetic appeal and long-term reliability.
Visitors are welcome at my workshop in Sheffield, UK. Please email or phone to make an appointment.
If you are interested in commissioning an instrument, I try to make this as risk-free as possible. No deposit is required to place an order, and the sale is only finalised if you are completely satisfied with the instrument after a two week, no-obligation trial period.
Instruments are guaranteed for life against defects in materials or construction and maintenance and adjustments are free for the first three years. Please contact me for current prices and waiting times.
