After graduating from the then London Guildhall University in 1995 I set up my workshop in London making viola da gambas. Working for a number of leading workshops in England and Germany I gained insight into repair and making of violins, violas and cellos. My chief interest has always remained with the baroque and classical period. In 2003 I returned to Germany where I am now based. In my workshop I make instruments to commission for leading professional players as well as music students and dedicated amateurs. I always try to keep a small range of instruments in stock for musicians to try. My instruments are made from carefully selected wood and based on historical models. The greatest care is given to set-up and tonal adjustment. Musicians appreciate my instruments ready response, evenness, sonority and richness of sound. My instruments are played by, amongst others, members of the following ensembles: Musicians of the Globe, Charivari Agreable, New London Consort, Fleurie and the Palladian Ensemble.
